Friday May 17th – Sunday June 2nd: Exhibition

Our hub at Zsenne will be open Friday-Sunday from 14h to 20h, find us there for an explanation and a drink. Most of the works are also visible throughout the week, grab your brochure at one of the neighbouring stores. All information on the participating artists can soon be found on the artists page. 

Friday May 17th: Vernissage + club night

We festively celebrate the opening of the exhibition with four arts and music performances tailored to the specificities of the neighbourhood, in and around the neighbourhood.

As past editions taught us that 22h is too early for such a festive event, we present an after-party of sorts in Beursschouwburg, another cultural institution within walking distance.

Monday May 20th: Volksroom on tour in Zsenne

“We continue our volksroom tour after 6 great nights in Artist commons (Ixelles), Messsy (Anderlecht), Camping 58 (Laken), afterafter (Schaarbeek), Decoratelier (Molenbeek) and the roof of Simon’s new house (Anderlecht). Each evening is an eclectic mix or a strange combination of dance theater, vaudeville, cabaret, visual arts, poetry, slampoetry, performance lectures, circusacts, danced heavy metal music and everything hors category in between. Often works are unfinished byproducts of the performance arts, presented in intimate settings. The programmation is mainly last-minute decided by the artist-community that attends the evenings.”

Friday May 24th: Toverberg Presents ‘Félicette’ release party in Mercerie

“Toverberg is a label and event organiser from Brussels. Everybody is invited on the Toverberg, to join us in an open and warm celebration of beginning artists and their good music.

For this event we’re presenting Félicette, a guitar-based project by Sam, also of bontridders and Brorlab. Félicette is presenting their first EP, which will be released on Toverberg on the 20th of May. Also playing that evening is Soccer Committee, a guitar-and-voice project from the Netherlands. They will re-create their soft-spoken and intimate sound for us. After the double-bill some deejays will show what a good friday night looks like: Streep b2b Lou K and BBY Boete b2b Poppy Whispers. The event will be pay what you can. See you there!”

Sunday May 26th: Wijkfeest / Fête Du Quartier with De Markten

“Samen met de Markten presenteren we een programma mét en voor de wijk. Ontdek wat er allemaal leeft in de Bloemenhofwijk en doe mee aan activiteiten voorgesteld door lokale verenigingen. Club Dérive voorziet een workshop voor/met kinderen en jongeren. Zelf meedoen? Laat gerust iets weten!”

Friday May 31th: A concert promenade curated by Divagation

“Depuis 7 ans, Divagation est une organisation de concerts itinérants dans Bruxelles. Passant des cafés et ateliers d’artistes à des lieux insolites (salle d’escalade, snack kebab, salon tattoo,…) et du patrimoine (la Bourse, la Maison Verte Flagey, la Fonderie,…), Divagation cristallise à chaque date la rencontre d’un lieu et d’une programmation, dans le but de mélanger les pratiques et les publics.

Pour Nomadic 2024, Divagation nous convie à une promenade de 3 concerts autour de la Place Jardin aux Fleurs, une déambulation joyeuse pour oreilles curieuses dans 3 espaces différents, où vous n’avez pas l’habitude de voir des concerts.
